Representative Beryl Amedee
At Pleasure of House Committee on Education
A lifelong resident of Terrebonne Parish, Representative Beryl Amedee serves Louisiana House District 51, which includes portions of Terrebonne, St. Mary, Assumption, and Lafourche Parishes. She was elected in 2015 and is a member of the Appropriations, Education, and Labor Committees. In addition to the LSMSA Board of Directors (appointed in June 2017), Rep. Amedee serves on the board for the Stella Learning Center in Houma, a school for children with Autism and related challenges.

Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts
Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
