Testing Information

We understand that taking a standardized test can be a bit overwhelming, so we've gathered this collection of resources to help reduce that anxiety.  You'll find information about what to expect, what to bring with you, practice exams, and more!

A few reminders:
  • When registering for the ACT, our school code is 6351. This code will ensure that your test scores are sent directly to LSMSA.
  • Plan ahead! Registration typically closes a month before the testing date.
  • We do not require the Writing or Science portions of the ACT.
  • Go directly to act.org or sat.org to register

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
